Learning to sew was one of those skills that I was taught, not because I had requested a lesson how to do so, but rather because my grandma sat me down and told me that it was time to learn to sew. Her instructions laid a great foundation of knowledge that eventually allowed me to teach myself how to embroider and embellish beyond simple stitching.
One of my favorite things to do is add new artwork to an existing garment. It feels like a puzzle when I am working on top of a fully made item, like there are all of these pieces of visual information swirling around in my head and I have to figure out how to create one coherent
These images are examples of a project I completed for a retailer that demonstrated how to customize a scarf using embroidery! The scarves were used in a mock-up end cap display for the retailer.
